Abstract

In this brief concluding chapter, we assess what are the main lessons to be learned from this project and how they may apply to future planning and design. It is a critical rethinking of the decisions and processes, tools and methods, and not least, how all these inform what will be done in the future under climatic uncertainty and the constraints it imposes on planning, design, construction, commissioning, informing the user, and creating a perpetual process, learning from each project and feeding back to decision-making, construction, assessment, commissioning, and use.
