Abstract

Research was carried out into Early Proterozoic metamorphic formations in the mobile Shackleton ridge. This made it possible to trace the cyclicity in the development of the metamorphic complex. A cryometric method of correlating CH4/CO2 in inclusions in the lgfO2 field was used to ascertain the distribution of carbon dioxide-methane fluid, and the results agreed with results obtained by mass-spectrometry and gas chromatography. -P.Cooke
