Abstract
Experimental data for neutron stripping and pick-up reactions on 45Sc were reexamined using a spin-dependent sum-rule analysis and absolute normalizations previously determined from results obtained using dispersion relations. Best fits of sum rules to (d, p) and (d, t) data were obtained with qualities as good as those obtained previously in a similar analysis but with different values for the absolute normalizations. We associate our fits with specific values of rms radii for f 7 2 transfer, which in turn determine the calculated cross sections and spectroscopic factors more uniquely. A comparative spin-dependent sum-rule analysis of the (d, p) and (3He, α) data provides a zero-range normalization constant D2 = (18.2 ± 4) × 104 MeV2. fm3 for the (3He, α) reaction.
