Abstract

An effective and accurate method for the extraction of the constitutive parameters (epsilon and mu) is an important ingredient in the design of metamaterial structures for electromagnetic applications. The S parameter method is the leading method for planar structures but fails in case of cylindrical structures. In this paper, we present a new technique for the extraction of the metamaterial constitutive parameters in cylindrical structures using its numerical bistatic RCS.
