Abstract
Indication of the fluid level (content of the vessel) in closed reservoirs, which are filled with liquids difficult to handle (corrosive, toxic) is always considered as a complex problem in the chemical industry. One of the suggested solutions is to use gamma-irradiation - utilizing different penetrating properties of materials. The operation of the static gages for continuous indication of a fluid level in cylindrical vessels is analyzed. The theoretical design and mathematical models of radioactive sources desired for the gages with the linear response is presented.
