Abstract

Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is performed with ever increasing volume and complexity. Several complications may occur during PCI. Here we present the case of 66-year-old male with coronary guidewire loss in the aorta for 10 years, extending from the right femoral artery all the way to the thoracic aorta. This case emphasizes the importance of the lost guidewire location in the decision making for the next steps in management.
