Abstract

In “Deforestation, fires, and lack of governance are displacing thousands of jaguars in Brazilian Amazon” (Conservation Science and Practice. 2021;3:e477), one error was noted. In the article originally published, the number of jaguars displaced (1,422) is wrong. The correct sum of the values for each state evaluated is 1,470 jaguars displaced by deforestation and fire in the Amazon. Under “Abstract”, the phrase “ We estimate a total of 1,422 jaguars…” must be considered as “ We estimate a total of 1,470 jaguars…”. Under the first paragraph of the “Results”, the phrase “We estimate a total of 1,422 jaguars…” must be considered as “We estimate a total of 1,470 jaguars…”. Under the first paragraph of the “Discussion”, the phrase “ A loss of 1,422 jaguars in just 5 years…” must be considered as “ A loss of 1,470 jaguars in just 5 years…”.
