Abstract

The authors regret a typing error in the formula used to calculate leaf-level fluorescence yield (ΦF) in Fig. 4 of our original manuscript. This led to an erroneous value of kDF and subsequently magnitude of ΦF and ΦD in the four panels. The corrected figure below has been produced with the appropriate kDF of 15 used in the rest of the manuscript. The error did not affect the conclusions drawn from the figure, which is that leaf-level ΦF measured from the mid-canopy of north-south planted maize displays a midday dip associated with row structure impacts on light interception. This error also does not affect any other figures, analyses, or conclusions of the paper. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.
