    Abstract

Operation of granular filters depends simultaneously on design parameters such as granular size and control variables as given by the flushing regime. The flushing schedule also depends on the quality of the incoming effluent. Aspects of treated domestic waste water reused for trickle irrigation after filtrtion are discussed. The analysis is followed by results on reuse of the effluent from an oxidation pond filtered for trickle irrigation. (A)
