Abstract
The authors discuss two aspects of making cryogenic thermoelectric cooling batteries with high-Tc superconductor (HTSC) passive branches: fabrication of active thermoelectric branches from reinforced Bi-Sb alloys, and passive HTSC branches from YBa2Cu3O7-x+Ag cermets. The possibility of using passive branches in the form of HTSC films is discussed. Results of a single-stage, cryogenic, thermoelectric-cooler operation test are presented.
