Abstract
Observations are reported on poly(acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) in uniaxial cyclic tensile tests (a low-cycle program with strain control). Constitutive equations are developed for the elastoplastic response of solid polymers at three-dimensional cyclic deformations with small strains. Adjustable parameters in the stress-strain relations are found by fitting the experimental data. Good agreement is demonstrated between the observations and the results of numerical simulation.
