Abstract

The band profile of the matrix Mnm for a general displacement field D(s) was studied. Focus was on the quasiorthogonality for special choices of D(s). It was explained that Mnm is the matrix element of a perturbation δ H associated with a deformation of the boundary, such that (n · D)δx is the normal displacement of a wall element, given a control parameter δx.
