Abstract
This is an analysis of a solar retrofit for an industrial process heat application at a textile plant located on Israel's coastal plain. The retrofit considered was one of the ''no-dump'' variety, namely, one which meets the required load under peak insolation conditions only. Both a no-storage system and a system with day-to-night storage were designed. It was possible to estimate the annual utilizable energy delivered by each proposed system. For a reasonable economic scenario, the retrofits were found to exhibit reasonably attractive economic values.
