Abstract

The processing steps involved in the manufacture of Functionally Graded Materials (FGM) based on PbI2-doped PbTe, by means of a powder metallurgy approach, are currently being investigated in order to improve the thermoefficiency up to 800K.This article describes the latest progress in this research. It includes design, synthesis, and characterization procedures for achieving graded samples with an optimal power-factor envelope.
