Abstract

Wavelet packets were used to analyze the detection and sorting phenomenon of neural spikes. Shannon information cost functions along with the local discriminant data were used in this context. Neural networks were used to demonstrate the efficiency of the recorded data. The process of identification of superimposed spikes and separation from noise was best revealed by the system.
