Abstract
A novel optical method for determining the concentration of colloids, consisting of particles larger than the wavelength of light, is proposed. The method employs Moire deflectometry for measuring the increase of the divergence of a light beam, passing through a colloidal solution, which results from the augmentation of the number of transverse modes of radiation.
