Abstract

The aim of this paper is to attempt a description of the spatio-temporal organization of population growth in urban fields by the use of a model which enables the reduction of the complex spatio-temporal process of growth to a manageable construct. The model is applied to the overall urban regions of Tel Aviv and Haifa, and to their different geographic sectors in order to examine the conformity of the overall growth structure to the separate sectorial structures.
