Abstract
We examine a recently suggested, novel method for evaluating the contribution of the neutron-proton mass difference to charge-symmetry breaking in the n-p system. It is shown that if all terms of first-order in the mass difference are consistently retained the proposal is equivalent to the conventional distorted-wave methods.
