Abstract

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, 2C6H 12N4·C8H12O4, contains one half-molecule of e,e-transcyclohexane-1,4-dicarboxylic acid (the complete molecule being generated by inversion symmetry) and one molecule of hexamethylenetetramine (HMTA), which are connected by O -H⋯N hydrogen bonds. This forms isolated trimers that pack in a herringbone fashion.
