Abstract
High maximum daily temperatures have a great effect on the loss of body water and, in turn, on the various blood parameters of the dehydrated camel; during acute dehydration the camel lost more body water and the blood parameters changed to a greater extent than during the chronic dehydration. It is the ability of the camel blood to remain functional during dehydration and rehydration which enables the camel to maintain homeostasis and thus survive in arid desert regions.
