Effect of high ambient temperature on cell division rate of fertilized ova in heat acclimatized rats

Abstract

A higher proportion of heat acclimatized females mated but failed to conceive, as compared with control animals. In addition, there was more wastage of ova in the acclimatized group, resulting in a reduced fertilization rate, as compared with that of the control group.
