Abstract
The influence of the temperature variation of γ-sources, obtained from neutron capture gamma rays, on the resonance scattering cross section of photons is calculated in detail. The results are used to propose a method for the determination of the temperature of γ-sources from a measurement of scattered intensity ratios from certain scatterers at different temperatures.
