Effective coefficient of absorption of selective medium on finite spectral interval taking into account scattering

Abstract

Mathematical model of plane uniform radiating, absorbing, and scattering layer with transparent boundaries has been developed. This model allows to analyze influence of scattering on line shape of leaving radiation. Band of absorption is regular. The analysis is based on numerical solution of integral and differential equation of transfer of radiation. Obtained results have allowed to offer new methods of calculating the average absorption coefficient of selective medium component, which are more exact than traditional approaches.
