Yoram Meital, David Everett

Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

This article surveys Cairo’s Sephardic, Ashkenazic, and Karaite synagogues, their architectural qualities, and the objects that were integrated into their sanctuaries. These temples—both ancient and modern—open a window onto the annals of a minority that flourished in the Land of the Nile for thousands of years.
