Abstract
The article discusses Israel's Electronic Signature Law in relation to the legal, moral and ethical problems associated with the adoption of electronic signatures as a common practice in electronic-commerce. The morality of the traditional handshake where one looks his business partner in the eye and shakes the other's hands is examined. The conditions fulfilled by a secure electronic signature include its being unique to the owner of the signing device.
