Enzymatic hydrolysis of healthy and wilt-damaged cotton fibres

Abstract

In spite of significant differences in the physical and chemical properties of healthy and wilt-damaged cotton samples, the reactivity of the fibres toward cellulolytic enzymes was similar. Hence, wilt-damaged cotton can be used for large-scale enymatic conversion to glucose.
