Abstract

Equilibrium between neutral hexacoordinate silicon complexes and ionic siliconium chlorides, which is highly temperature, solvent, counterion, ligand and substituent dependent, was observed by low temperature ²⁹Si NMR and confirmed by crystal analysis.
