Abstract

Biodiesel production is being promoted and developed as a sustainable and eco-friendly fuel as part of current efforts to mitigate climate change and to reduce the dependency on fossil fuels. Biodiesel is widely produced worldwide, and is a green alternative to diesel. The biodiesel industry requires the utilization of corrosion-resistant materials. Therefore, the equipment used is mostly made from stainless steel, aluminum, or high-density polyethylene because these materials have proven to be corrosion- and degradation- resistant in biodiesel production and distribution.
