The controlled-release encapsulated fertilizer comprises a core containing at least one fertilizer and a polymeric envelope containing at least one hormone selected from indole alkyl acid, indole acetic acid(lAA), indole propionic acid(lPA), indole butyric acid(lBA), 2,4 dichlorophenoxy acetic acid, 2,4 chlorophenoxy propionic acid, 2,4 dichloro phenoxyacetic acid propyl ester and Naphthalene acetic acid. The polymeric envelope is formed from a polymer selected from polyurethane, polyurea and polyolefins. The controlled-release encapsulated fertilizer may further comprise a triazole, a cytokinine, a carbohydrate, a fungicide or insecticide incorporated therein.
