Field-dependent polarisability calculation in a Debye potential [1]

Abstract

A numerical method based on the solution of the Schrodinger equation with the inclusion of an external field in a confined region is presented. Polarisability values computed here for zero field are shown to agree with existing results. The applicability of the method in calculating polarisabilities for high fields is demonstrated.
