Abstract

Flow-mach-number-variation-induced hysteresis was studied in steady shock wave reflections. The flow between two symmetrically spaced wedges was simulated using a shock-capturing total variation diminishing (TVD) scheme. It was shown that a flow Mach number variation-induced hysteresis is possible in two-dimensional steady flows.
