Abstract

Geophysical methods of current forecast of explosion hazard of coal seams are analysed. Effect of phase-physical properties, coal strength, strain and roof support maximum depth location on mining electromagnetic radiation (ER) value is considered. Gas factor effect on ER activity is considered also. It is established, than the more higher gasemission is, the more intense increase of ER activity is observed. Increase of strain and gas pressure leads to the increase of ER activity detected in mining. The basic knowledge in forming of zone in seam edge part is formulated using the obtained results.
