Abstract
Although the prenatal sonographic diagnosis of a 2-vessel cord is relatively common (1%-2%),1 supernumerary vessels are rare and have often been associated with an adverse perinatal outcome such as an increased risk for congenital anomalies.2-8 We report a case of a healthy male neonate born at a gestational age of 38 weeks 3 days after prenatal sonographic diagnosis of a 4-vessel umbilical cord.
