Abstract

This paper proposes an arbitrary shape meta-material inspired antenna with DGS. By applying the concept of fractal geometry on the shape, a self-similar structure has been obtained. With RT-Duroid as a substrate and inserting meta-material inspired DGS, various parameters like return loss, bandwidth, gain, have been improved. Designing and simulation of the proposed structure has been done by using HFSS software. The applications of the proposed structure can be within the range of 2.4 GHz-9.86 GHz (WLAN, Bluetooth, Cellular Phones).
