Abstract

A 26-year-old woman with Marfan syndrome presented with gastric and duodenal diverticula and malrotation of the cecum in addition to hiatus hernia and diffuse gastrointestinal diverticulosis. These findings have not been previously described in the radiological literature in association with Marfan syndrome. The incidence of gastrointestinal involvement in associaton with Marfan syndrome may be higher than reported. Because of the known complications of gastrointestinal diverticulosis, it is recommended that radiological studies of the gastrointestinal tract should be performed routinely in the assessment of patients with clinical signs of Marfan syndrome.
