Abstract

Since the 1940s, a significant trend has emerged in biblical scholarship toward investigating he influence wisdom literature has exerted upon the whole scriptural corpus (including the prophetic and historical books), replacing the traditional focus on the books customarily regarded as constituting the sapiential literature - Proverbs, Job and Ecclesiastes.
