Abstract

The concept of planes spanned ions of signal phase plane is generalized to by various nonlinear combinat-derivatives. Such combinations, based on the relative first and second derivatives of signals, are defined and illustrated. A method for feature extraction is proposed and applied to a simple example of handwritten numeral recognition.
