Abstract

Recurrent pregnancy loss (RPL) is a disorder affecting 5 % in women experiencing two consecutive miscarriages, and 1 % in women with three or more miscarriages. Many of the etiologic factors of RPL are still obscure. Genetic factors are assumed to be major factors in early pregnancy loss. New genetic techniques and approaches allow further delineation of genetic etiologies, allowing more accurate consultations and even new treatment option for couples with RPL.
