Abstract
This volume contains nine separately authored contributions devoted to geological excursions in the Ramon area. The geology of the region is varied and well-exposed, comprising marine and continental stratigraphy from the Triassic to the Recent, intrusive and extrusive magmatics, and folds and faults of varing complexity. The deep erosion at the core of the anticlinal structure forms a window to the Negev subsurface. The papers include descriptions of: the Ramon National Geological Park, Triassic depositional cycles, the Ramon laccolith, flow directions in sills and dykes, polymetallic mineralization, structural-stratigraphic relations of the Ramon lineament, structural and landscape evolution, and Miocene palaeogeography. -G.E.Hodgson
