Abstract

At present, the Hatrurim Quarry is the second largest production site of bifacial tools (axes and mainly adzes) from Larnite, one of the Hatrurim formation metamorphic rocks. The main feature in the site is a large and thick layer of lithic waste and bifacial tools rejects. This paper describes the results of probes carried out in the site and the current knowledge concerning Larnite production sites.
