Abstract

The present paper deals with the study of helical properties of liquid metal flows rotating under the action of a rotating magnetic field. Basing on the experimental data obtained in the present work and the external friction model, helicity and characteristic scales of vortical structures have been computed for various rotation conditions. It is shown that the obtained results well agree with the experimental data obtained both in the present work and by other authors.
