Abstract
A calculation is made of the electrical conductivity tensor sigma // mu // nu ( omega ) of a semiconductor with a superlattice in an alternating electric field of frequency not exceeding the gap between the two nearest minibands. The Kubo formula is used for sigma // mu // nu ( omega ) and the projection operator method is employed to transform this formula so that it is convenient for investigating high-frequency properties of crystals with an anisotropic spectrum. An analysis of the expression sigma // mu // nu ( omega ) is made for various polarizations of an electromagnetic field allowing for the electron statistics. In the high-frequency limit ( H D-BAR omega APP GRTH T) the behavior of sigma // mu // nu ( omega ) differs from that predicted by the theory which ignores the frequency dependence of the relaxation time.
