abstract = "High pressure Raman spectroscopic investigations have been carried out on rare earth orthovanadate DyVO4 upto 22 GPa. Abrupt changes and appearance of new modes were noted in Raman spectrum above 8 GPa with two phase coexistence over a pressure range of about 8-13 GPa The phase transition was found to be irreversible when pressure is released.",
