Highly Efficient First Stokes Generation in Gas-filled Hollow-core Photonic Bandgap Fibers

Abstract

We report highly efficient Raman conversion to the first Stokes in SF6-filled hollow-core photonic bandgap fibers. We obtained 70% conversion efficiency and observed dependency on the input polarization angle of the pump beam.
