    Abstract

The history of the discovery and introduction of clozapine in clinical practice is very unusual and complex in comparison to other antipsychotics. In this chapter we review the complicated path from discovery through abrupt discontinuation of use and successful comeback as a unique treatment for patients with treatment resistant schizophrenia.
