Abstract

The homogenization process during sintering in a binary system with partial mutual solubility at temperatures at which one of the components is liquid, is studied. The duration of each of the three subsequent stages of the process can be found, and the value of the diffusivity estimated. Calculations were performed for the Fe-Cu system.
