How phase-only spatial light modulators can help with optical imaging

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

Phase-only spatial light modulators (SLMs) are used in optical imaging systems for several purposes. This review describes the main milestones of SLM-aided holographic imaging systems. The review begins with the nearly twenty-year-old system of the Fresnel incoherent correlation holography recorder and progresses to the most recent versions of interferenceless coded aperture holography systems.
