Abstract

The writer is a member of a Kibbutz, whose first novel and a volume of Short Stories appeared in recent years. The following are extracts from a lengthy essay, Meaning of Homeland, which after its publication in the lsraeh press, aroused a great deal of comment and controversy. The extracts are taken from the English version which was first published in the Tel Aviv monthly, New Outlook, in December, 1967.
