Abstract

In 1-naphthyl-ammonium iodide, C10H10N+·I-, and naphthalene-1,8-diyldiammonium diiodide, C10H12N2 2+· 2I-, the pre-dominant hydrogen-bonding pattern can be described using the graph-set notation R 4 2(8). This is the first report of a structure of a diprotonated naphthalene-1,8-diyldiammonium salt.
