Abstract
The area of polymeric controlled drug delivery systems has been a field of increasing interest. However, relatively little attention has been given to developing systems in which the rate of delivery can be manipulated externally. This paper reviews controlled release systems and explores approaches to externally modulate drug delivery at a desired rate.
